Alberta Summer { edmonton portrait photographer }

I went for a drive last night with Chad and Jinx to find some locations to shoot at.  We found this amazing abandoned barn and a field with tall grass…I was VERY excited when we pulled up on that dirt road!  It’s a lot easier to test the natural light on a subject when you HAVE a subject so of course my boys modeled for me!

Aren’t they cute?

Jinx was more interested in being pet but I did manage to get him to sit still for this shot:

He’s always so happy, he loves summer and has really been enjoying all the time we’ve been able to spend outside.

Finally I found a couple of interesting things while on location…

nailsThe light coming into the barn and hitting the floor where these nails laid was so nice and soft.

dirtI never thought in a million years I’d find cracked dirt like this in Alberta. I thought I’d have to go out into the desert to see formation like this and yet, here it was. It really pays off to keep your eyes open!

I have a busy weekend ahead of me, Chad and I are shooting an engagement session tonight and a wedding on Saturday.  We’ll be posting the teasers next week! Have a great weekend!
